Salisbury Georgia Pewter Collection
SKU#SCGA09-W
The history of Georgia is in many ways the history of her craftsmen.
The Georgia Pewter Cups represent what seems to be one of two major Southern design styles of the early 19th century.
Patterned after the work of E.J. Johnson, working in Macon, circa 1851, the modified pear shape design is an early Southern favorite. The delicate beading on the Georgia Pewter Cups reflect a sophistication of taste typical of early Georgia and may be enjoyed now as julep cups.
Often used as presentation pieces, early Southern silver was frequently elaborately engraved or monogrammed...You may wish to follow this tradition.
